Roy Ernest Harrison

	Roy Ernest Harrison, 77, of DuQuoin, passed away at 8:15 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2000 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
	Roy was a retired tractor operator at Consol #2 Coal Mine and a self-employed carpenter.  He attended the Faith Assembly of God Church in DuQuoin and was a member of the UMWA.
	He was born March 7, 1923 at St. Johns, the son of Justin and Rosie (Miller) Harrison.  He married Emma Lea Pierce on June 16, 1945 at Plainfield and she survives.
	He is survived by his wife of DuQuoin; two sons, Roy (Bud) Harrison of DuQuoin and Dennis Harrison and wife Bonnie of DuQuoin; two daughters, Kimberly Harrison Trube and husband Harold of Missouri and Tami Harrison Burdel and husband Bernie of DuQuoin; two sisters, Luella Lloyd of Kokomo, Ind. and Gleda Stanley of Chicago; one brother, Sonny Keigley of DuQuoin; grandchildren, Brandee Horn and husband John, Justin Harrison; step-grandchildren, Lee Stanhouse, Lori Ragland and Tim Burdel; great-grandchild, Hadlee Horn and step-great-grandchildren, Jacob Stanhouse, Emily Stanhouse and Chase Ragland.
	He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, three brothers and step-great-grandson, Clayton Ragland.
	Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, November 6 at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin with Rev. Keith Filer officiating.
	Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin.
	Interment was in the Harrison Cemetery at Buckner.
